This policy applies only to reversi.plyyard.com. The site has no registration system or player profiles for ordinary games. Computer and shared-device games are stored mainly in your browser. When you enter an online room, the server temporarily keeps room, seat, and board information so both players see the same game. The sections below explain what is held on your device, in a room, and in email.

The four essentials

You do not need an account to play. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, password, proof of identity, or payment information when you start a game.

Local games are not sent to a cloud service for move calculation. The AI and hint searches run in a browser Worker; the server does not choose moves in computer mode.

Online rooms do use the server. That connection is required to synchronize seats, moves, draw offers, resignations, and reconnection state.

We receive information from you by email only when you choose to write. You decide whether to include a screenshot, device model, or description of the problem.

What this device stores

Computer and shared-device modes store the current board, move history, selected AI strength, and replay position so a game can continue after a refresh or language change. The browser also remembers interface choices such as the color theme and whether an information panel is open.

After you enter an online room, the browser stores the room number, seat credential, and host marker so it can recognize your seat after a refresh. Treat a seat credential with the same care as a private room link; do not give it to someone you do not trust.

Clearing site data for reversi.plyyard.com, ending a private-browsing session, or removing the installed web app and then clearing its site data will usually remove local games, preferences, and reconnection information. We cannot restore them because they are not cloud saves attached to an account.

Why online rooms need a server

An online room temporarily stores its room number; public or private status; seats and display names; colors; current board and moves; result and draw state; and creation and last-activity times. Moves, passes, resignations, and draw responses travel over a live connection, are validated by the server, and are then sent to the other player.

A public room displays enough information in the lobby for visitors to see whether it is waiting or in progress, and it may be joined or watched. A private room does not appear in that list, but anyone with a valid link and room information may still try to enter. Share it only with people you intend to invite.

A room is not a permanent game archive. It may expire after sitting empty, waiting too long, or reaching the end of a game, according to the current service settings. The host may also close it. Do not rely on an online room as the only record of an important game.

Other network requests the page makes

Page and board files are hosted by this site and loaded by your browser.

Computer moves are searched on your device. The position is not uploaded to a cloud game engine.

The board does not depend on a third-party font service or an external image CDN.

Some local-game pages include a link to Ply Yard. Your browser visits that separate site only if you click the link, and its own policy then applies.

If you add the page to a home screen

You can install the site as a web app for quicker access. Its icon and cached files remain on your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing the site data removes them.

Mail you choose to send

If you report a problem to contact@plyyard.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write or attach, such as a description, screenshot, device details, or browser information. We use that material to investigate, reply, and prevent similar failures. We do not use it to build a marketing list.

Do not send passwords, payment information, a complete private-room link, or identity details unrelated to troubleshooting. This site has no player accounts and will never ask for an account password.

Younger players

The board is available to players in general. If you are a parent or guardian, please help younger players use online rooms and share links carefully.

When this note changes

We may update this policy when storage, room synchronization, or site features change. The current version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site means you have had the opportunity to read the version then in effect.
