We handle feedback primarily by email. A useful report does not need to be long, but it should let us replay what happened: the page and mode, whose turn it was, where you clicked, and what happened next. That gives us far more to work with than “the board is broken.”

Help us reproduce the game

Name the mode: computer, two players on one device, or an online room.

Say whose turn it was, Black or White, and whether the player was about to make a move or should have been forced to pass.

Include the device and browser, such as iPhone Safari, Android Chrome, or desktop Edge.

Describe what you expected and what the page actually did.

Give the shortest sequence that reproduces it, for example: “New game → I played Black → c4 → Undo → the empty square stayed highlighted.” Tell us if it happens every time.

For a connection problem, include the room number and approximate time. You do not need to send the complete invitation link unless you choose to.

Different problems need different clues

For an incorrect rule or flip, attach a screenshot of the board and mark the move square. If you remember it, include the previous move and explain which line you expected to flip.

For an AI or hint problem, include the strength level, your color, and whether the search failed to answer, returned an illegal move, or simply seemed too weak. The last case is not necessarily a software defect.

For an online-room problem, tell us what the host and joining player each saw, whether watching worked, and roughly when it happened. Do not disclose a seat credential publicly.

For a display or touch problem, include the full board and sidebar in the screenshot when possible. Tell us the screen orientation, browser zoom, and whether the site was installed as a PWA.

For an English wording suggestion, quote the sentence and explain what a new player could misunderstand. That helps us decide whether the rule, example, or wording needs to change.

About replies

We read every message about this site, but we cannot promise a fixed response time. Details matter especially for browser-cache issues, local games, and room reconnection; a specific report is more likely to be resolved in one exchange.

We normally begin by checking whether we can reproduce the issue, then determine whether it comes from the rule implementation, browser compatibility, network conditions, or the written explanation. If we cannot reproduce it, we may ask for more exact steps. That does not mean the report was ignored.
